Don't go during the rainy season and all the streets are built in a triangle not in a square -- so getting lost on the way back from a cafe is hard not to do...
Beautiful city of canals and homes leaning tall and on each other...GO. Careful where you walk, there are 5 travel lanes (bus, bike, car, train, people)
Tulips are nice too i suppose

There is nothing so special that you can't miss but everything is very nice in general.
Even if you don't do drugs, Amsterdam it's a good place to walk around and enjoy the channels, the buildings and the bicycles :)
The Hague is also pretty nice, with much less stoned teenagers and people actually speaking Dutch!

Auch hier gilt: Ein herrliches Land für's Fahren mit dem Rad. Von den Radwegen der Niederländer kann Deutschland noch sehr viel lernen. Und das Leben ist dort weniger reglementiert (man denke nur mal an die Head Shops - Hochzuchtsorten sind allerdings gewöhnungsbedürftig; die überrollen einen wie ein D-Zug). Durch den legalen Verkauf von Gras kommt man ausgesprochen preisgünstig an ein hochwirksames Mittel gegen Migräne.

my favourite place on the planet, and who can deny the place.......it holds a million stories of our (the lads) exploits of many many english invasions of the 'dam' and its delights, but alas, its the usual..' what goes on in the dam has to stay in the dam'..... for security reasons.....ha ha
