The Congo

Much better than I expected, people are really friendly and never felt unsafe, but never left the city of Pointe Noire, really. There are a few clean bars right at the beach (The Derrick, for instance) that serve good food, and once again, have very friendly staff. I have to go back in about 4 weeks and am looking forward to it!

Had to learn french. life was okay, somehow boring...

Not much to say about this place. Pretty repressed. The most interesting thing was the ferry ride over from Zaire. They were actually whipping people to get them on.

Does a quick transit count though? It was just really a few hours!
