Stayed at the Bavarro Princess back in 2006. Very pretty. Not as much to see off the resort compared to Jamaica. it was very cheap. 1 week each person resort plus airfare $700. drinks included. No diet coke there, its a sugar economy. you get "coca cola lite" lower sugar. tastes good. they laugh if you ask for decafe coffee. the resort staff speak spanish. most tourists are from other spanish speaking countries, also a lot of germans!

Barcello Bavaro Beach Resort was incredible. 7 resorts in one.

Just brief walking around port area. It was sad to see so many children begging, hard to say no.
