Went there first at age 7, I think. It was the first time I saw the ocean. We collected cool things and let die and become awful smelly. Sorry sea creatures. We toured the Astrodome, which was quite new. They had fire ants - oucheee.

Takes forever to drive to San Antonio from San Diego. Once you see El Paso you think you're there....think again.
