While in Nicaragua, be sure to spend some time in Granada, beautiful colonial city, while there be sure to go out to the islands on Lake Nicaragua... If time permits, be sure to travel to the Island of Ometepe... You will be happy you did!!!

Thanks so much christina. We have seen the Arenal Valcano before and also been to the same hot springs. We may do the white water tour this time as last time we were scheduled but they cancelled as the water levels were too high. The wildlife, birds, monkeys etc. is one reason we are returning to Costa Rica. Also want to do some volunteer work on the turtle sanctuaries so we will see how that goes.

Scuba the "Blue Hole" in Belize, you won't regret it. Mayan ruins will be all over your route, make sure to see at least one site.

In Costa Rica go to Arenal Volcano and swim at the Tabacon hot springs at the base of the volcano. If you're up for adventure, try a white water tour down the Pacuare river... but beware, their 4-5 class rapids are to an American what a 6-10 class rapids would be in the states. For a jungle tour, fly into Puerto Jimenez at the tip of Corcovado National Park. Take a banana cart to the Lapa Rios resort (in the middle of the jungle). You'll have your own private cabana overlooking the ocean and jungle. See monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, etc. One of the most spectacular places I've ever been. Have fun!

Thanks so much will try to see as many as possible
