Antarctica
A desert of ice, Antarctica was purportedly discovered by humans just under 200 years ago. It is an uninhabited and mysterious continent, with no permanent residents (except for penguins, seals and some plants) and generally only around a few thousand visitors per year. Thus, it has no government and none of its land can be claimed by any entities, as put forth in the 1959 Antarctic Treaty. If you're planning to go there, we want pictures. And good luck.
