Ah! Paree, I've been to da place twice. The first was during early 70,s spring fashion show in Paris. Somehow, meeting up with someone attending the spring fashions as a designer, who at the last minute held two confirmed hotel reservations. Anyway, after the plane had landed at Charles de Gaulle, the new friend suggested that we could stay at the less expensive accommodations that she had booked at, and would call ahead and let them know. In fact, it was quite comfortable, had vino, 6 foot french bread, cheese and a view of downtown with bridges that one imaged that Napoleon rode is steed across the bridge. The Louvre, and Mona Lisa as well as other great arts still hang today. Of course that golden bronze skin tone, was an attraction then. The small cafes' and "white coffee" as well as the architecture itself, and history impressed me a lot. World History happen to be a favorite of mind. But of course the Effie tower, and Charles Lindbergh solo flight were also a part of history.
